Children growing up in addicted families deserve to have their own conversation about recovery. The Retreat is pleased to announce a new weekly meeting for Kids, ages 7 - 12, who are growing up in families living with addiction.
 
Starting Sunday, March 4th, 2012 
Time:*   1:00 - 2:00 pm
*This FREE meeting runs concurrent with the Al-Anon meeting that meets at the same time in the same building
 
 and every Sunday in the Men's Chapel
at The Retreat

Open to members in all 12-Step recovery who want to enhance their particpation in relationships by exploring the spiritual principles found in the Traditions.

"The Art of Healing: Self as Healer" 
Special Guest: Sue Towey
Join us for a presentation by Sue Towey, a board certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing and a Licensed Psychologist.  She is a member of the graduate faculty at the University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality & Healing, with the Graduate Minor and Certificate programs in Integrative Therapies and Healing Practices.  She has created and taught two classes within the graduate minor program: The Art of Healing: Self as Healer and Mind Body Healing Therapies.
Sue will be giving us an overview of Holistic/Integrative mental health with respect to addictions and will also be speaking about the Chemistry of Joy.
  
Treats and fellowship begin at 6:30 PM and the meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM, finishing at 8:30 PM.
