Minneapolis Outpatient treatment is a well established way of addressing your alcoholism or drug addiction. The Retreat has developed a supportive, educational approach to helping people that is an excellent alternative to traditional twin cities outpatient alcohol treatment programs. Teaching recovery through the Twelve Steps, The Retreat's time tested approach has helped thousands of people to recover.
While many Twin Cities outpatient treatment programs use a staff based approach, The Retreat has developed a model that incorporates community into the recovery process. By immersing people into a community of recovering people, participants are effectively integrated in a vibrant recovering community. The Program teaches people the basic tools for recovery so that by the time they have completed the program, they have the ability to enjoy long term sobriety.
Participants learn to apply the spiritual principles of the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous in their lives and develop an understanding of the effects that alcoholism and drug addiction have on their lives. They begin the process of recovery and learn to incorporate the Twelve Steps into their day-to-day activities and relationships.
Traditionally, many Minneapolis outpatient treatment programs have focused much of their energy on assessment in order to diagnose the problem of addiction and alcoholism. People that come to The Retreat already know they are alcoholic or drug dependent and are ready to focus on the solution found in the Twelve Steps. Teaching people through lectures, presentations, group discussions and AA-approved literature, Participants learn to support one another in exploring the attitudes, behaviors and skills necessary to build a solid foundation for recovery.
Minneapolis outpatient treatment can be very expensive. The Retreat Evening Program was developed in response to the rising cost of outpatient alcohol treatment in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities area.
